About Me

I’m what you’d call a big personality. Since I can remember, I’ve been known for my boundless enthusiasm, eccentric style, incessant chatter and witty remarks – not to mention, a laugh that can be heard from all four corners of the earth. I’ve also been known for my absent-mindedness, distractibility, chronic tardiness and frenetic pace. In fact, I once rushed my husband to work, only to discover on the way, that he wasn’t even in the car – Oops! So, when I was diagnosed with Combined Type ADHD at 35, I can’t say anyone was surprised.

I know my story isn’t unusual. So many of us, women in particular, have struggled all our lives with constant overwhelm and the sense that we’re not living up to our potential, only to discover in our 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and beyond, that there’s a very good reason why. We know we’re capable of incredible things but as one of my gaming clients put it, we’ve been living life on ‘Difficulty: Hard’. I don’t know about you but I’m tired of hard. I want ease. So, when I received my diagnosis, my path was made clear:

  1. Understand my ADHD brain
  2. Lean into my strengths
  3. Help you do the same

That’s why, after almost a decade working across the community sector, I enrolled with the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA) and made the decision to become an ICF accredited ADHD Coach.

Training and Experience

Over the course of my life, I’ve had a very wide and seemingly disconnected variety of passions and paths that have led to all sorts of weird and wonderful adventures.

After studying acting, I began facilitating in-school programs for high school students and later worked with homeless youth in a remote Australian mining town. In my early 20’s I moved to New York to play a lead role with a touring production on bullying and violence, again running in-school programs. Back in New York, I coordinated a fashion summer camp with teen girls, addressing issues related to body image and self esteem. From there I stumbled into fashion PR and lived out my teenage dream, coordinating everything from volunteers to press to photoshoots each fashion week.

After moving back to Australia, I began working in the community sector and seven years later, I haven’t looked back. In my roles as case manager and team leader, I’ve been privileged to walk alongside people living with complex and persistent mental health challenges, supporting them to identify and achieve their goals as they progress toward recovery – whatever that may look like for them.

HOW I ROLL

I imagine a world where all of us living with ADHD, appreciate our value and fulfill our potential. By tapping into my own unique set of skills and experience to bring you education, coaching and opportunities for connection, I’m excited to be part of creating that world.

3 Things You NEED to Know Before We Begin

You are valuable
You are uniquely wired to change the world. It’s my mission and privilege to help you uncover and appreciate your magic so you can serve it to the world.

You are resourceful
You are capable, creative and wiser than you know. You arrived here with a whole lifetime of experience and I know that within you, you have the answers you’re looking for. I’m just here to help you find them.

You are the expert on your own life
You might be thinking, “No! That’s why I’m here!”
I am not your guru. I guarantee that nobody knows you better than you do. I will always respect your boundaries and preferences, while encouraging you to lean on your own inherent wisdom.
These foundational beliefs form the basis of my practice.

The 3 Things I Value Most

Connection
As human beings, we are hardwired for connection with others. It’s only when we deeply know and accept ourselves, that we’re able to truly connect with others.

Growth
‘Failure’ is celebrated here because it isn’t failure at all. I consider it the KPI of progress. It means you’re trying and trying is the only way to grow. Go forth and fail!

Courage
Vulnerability is strength – and authenticity requires it. I have a deep respect for anyone with the courage to show up authentically in a world that consistently tells us we need to be other than we are.

How I Coach

When I think of the word ‘Coach’, I have an image come to mind of someone shouting instructions at me from the sideline, so let me make it clear from the outset that you’ll be sorely disappointed if that’s what you expect from me.

My Approach

Person-Centred
If I’ve learned anything in my work, it’s that we are all one of a kind. No two journeys are the same and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Our work together will be highly individualised and tailored to your needs.

Strengths-Based
Rather than focus on the areas you’re most challenged in, we’ll flip the switch and
concentrate on amplifying your strengths to get you where you want to go. There’s a whole library of evidence to suggest that this approach is particularly important when it comes to supporting the ADHD brain.

Unconditional Positive Regard
From the moment we meet, I will celebrate you for all that you are. There is nothing you can say or do that will make me think any less of you. It’s my long-held belief that everyone is doing the best they can.

Trauma-Informed
Your sense of safety is paramount to your progress, which is why I will always communicate clearly and transparently with you, protecting our interactions with the strictest standards of privacy and confidentiality. I will collaborate with you and do my best to accommodate your specific needs and preferences. Wherever possible, I’ll provide you with choices as we work toward developing the type of trusting relationship that will allow you to get the most out of your coaching journey.

Fun
I really like to laugh. I hope you do too.
